George Strait Is A Grandfather

If you were at Friday’s (2/3) [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]George Strait[/lastfm] / [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Martina McBride[/lastfm] Phoenix concert, you saw an amazing show, but you might not have realized you were among the first people on the planet to hear that George and Norma Strait are grandparents! Apparently, their son Bubba and wife Tamara welcomed a baby on Thursday (2/2). The news was broken in a very interesting way. George played “I Saw God Today”, his beautiful chart-topper about finding small miracles every day everywhere. The last verse refers to seeing a newborn son in the hospital nursery, and as the applause faded, George announced that he “saw God yesterday” (Thursday 2/2) with the birth of his first grandchild. Stay tuned for more details, but George did mention later in the show that Bubba is a new father, and he recently told Storme Warren of GAC that the family was pretty certain it would be a boy when the baby arrived “in February”.
